Selena Gomez Gets Support From Kesha, Lady GaGa, Demi Lovato After Kidney Transplant

Although Demi and Selena are no longer close, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer has admitted that she’ll always have love for the Wizards of Waverly Place star, and still considers her a friend. That’s no surprise considering they’ve known one another since their days as little babies on Barney & Friends. So of course Demi’s reaction to hearing the news about the “Bad Liar” singer’s procedure was full of nothing but praise. She told People, “I think that she is a very strong woman. I’m very happy and proud of her.”

Selena Gomez was showered with love from her fans and fellow celebrities alike after she opened up about getting a kidney transplant. Kesha, Lady GaGa and Demi Lovato were among those who applauded the “Fetish” singer for her brave battle against lupus.
Besides praising Selena, Kesha sent her support for Lady GaGa who recently revealed that she suffered from fibromyalgia. The “Tik Tok” hitmaker seemingly related to the two stars due to her own struggle with depression and eating disorder.

Demi Lovato couldn’t be more proud of friend Selena Gomez for soldiering through her kidney transplant. “I’m very happy and proud of her,” added the “Sorry Not Sorry” ingers, 25, who first met Gomez when they were children on Barney & Friends and became close friends when they both had shows on the Disney Channel during their teen years.
On Thursday, Gomez revealed on social media that the reason she quietly stepped back from her career over the summer was because she was recovering from a kidney transplant.

Here is more from twitter on this story.

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez’s friendship has been one giant whirlwind. Seriously, if you’re a fan of the duo (and really who isn’t??) then you’ve most likely been keeping tabs on their on-and-off again relationship. They met as little ones on the set of Barney & Friends and conquered Disney Chanel together, each starring in their own shows and in a DCOM together, Princess Protection Program. They have since taken the music world by storm and have had their fair share of high-profile romances. And while there have been some rough patches when they weren’t on good terms, lately all seem to be well in the Delena universe.
