Fans of the show are quick to tell you that one of the many reasons HBO’s Game Of Thrones remains such an enticing watch is the fact that you never know how or when a character is going to die. Martin’s series of books and let it be known that no one (with the exception of a few characters with fairly bulletproof plot armor) is safe. Ned Stark used his great sword Ice to behead the Night’s Watchman; he was beheaded with his own sword.
Top 5 deaths in game of thrones. Watch this video below.
To be fair, this list is by no means comprehensive. Khal Drogo was humanely smothered after he was resurrected into a vegetative state, Barristan Selmy was felled in battle, and King Robert was killed by, of all things, a wild boar during a hunting trip. Even in Westeros, death can be just as mundane as in our world. In fact, the pattern is so predictable that in hindsight, it makes some characters’ deaths feel less shocking.
This provides a pretty reliable formula to use to predict how other major characters could die in the upcoming final season. Daenerys has executed many people with her dragons. Maybe she’ll be killed by the Night King’s ice dragon. Tyrion killed his father with a crossbow. Maybe he’ll get killed by a crossbow. Cersei killed a bunch of people by blowing them up. Maybe she’ll get blown up. Samwell Tarly killed a White Walker. Maybe he’ll get killed by a White Walker. And in the end, dear sweet Pod will be the only one left alive, happily baking with Hot Pie. The end.

I think Joffrey's death in Game of Thrones was probably on par. The audience was most definitely eager to see his painful death.

So what are they going to say to the god of death?
If Arya has got any sense, she’ll be checking over her shoulder for Faceless Men. Daenerys had better steer clear of any evil dragons that may be heading south at this very moment. And Cersei should… well, Cersei should just avoid everything and everyone until the series is over.
